A lot of work, stress, sales goals, and little pay.

For an adult with rent and extra responsibilities, there is no way you can survive working at Sixt. There is always a wait on vehicles, which causes a bad experience, in which we get bad surveys, which leads to less/ no commission pay out. It is so hostile, you already expect the customer to be irate. This is the worst environment I have ever worked. And the best part management does nothing about it.

The worst part besides the pay is the verbal abuse encountered everyday. Commission SUCKS for the airport so all you have is the hourly to fall back on, which is what I will get paid working in a fast food restaurant. For example, cars not being cleaned properly or just not available. Commission has been based off of uncontrollable factors. I could work a less stressful job with less responsibilities for the same pay. I was hired under the impression I will make enough commission to forget about the poor hourly pay. I read this and it is true, this job is intended for young folks with no kids and responsibilities. It's so unhealthy and I feel sick knowing that I ha. You HAVE to give a sales pitch to them, make them believe you. The trainers told us "fake it till you make it" Which means that you fake that number so much, and make them believe you. And telling them that it's either the Cadillac, or the Mercedes so they are forced to choose one or the other, but the nice part about is, that the coustmer is going to have to push for the car they wanted. Scam.įirst, you book online for say a Tayota, well congrats! When you arrived you were getting a "upgrade" to a luxiourius Cadillac Escalade magically! So your just shaking your head and your like "that isn't right I wanted a Tayota." and then you have to "downgrade" Them which your still forcing them to choose a now luxiourius Mercedes. I thought the rates where great, but now that one really sit down and saw what they are doing. So the hour wage is going to be the only good thing because the commission is all about you gussed it: luring, and lying to your coustmer to make the most commission. But it gets to the point during my training where everything falls into place, and I am disgusted. Okay, the coworkers are fun, and traveling to my training was fun too. It's so unethical and the business practice is a complete joke. So they push you in training to get that comission. Okay, this can be an excellent place to work, if it wasn't for the fact that this is a comission place job. If you have satisfied customer reviews that rate you all five stars, you get commission, but it can't be a recurring customer or a customer that rated you on the past, it has to be a new customer and it's kind of hard if you don't have any cars to satisfy the custom with. Seriously I would go into work already stressing out to the max because I knew we would have no cars. And you guessed it, Customers would yell at you for it. You have to find a way as an agent to make them satisfied, but how could you when they're no cars on the lot? Too bad, you have to figure it out. And you would think you could just call the person and tell them we don't have it. The system will show the fleet throughout all the locations, even if that specific car is booked for that location. Oh, here's a fun thing Sixt does as well, they let customers book cars that we don't even have on the lot. Are we going to have enough cars for reservations today? Are my numbers going to stay up so I don't get written up and earn my commission? How many other locations do we have to contact to see i we can get cars? And the list goes in and on. Everyday there were multiple things that we as agents stressed about. I just want to say that my manager was really great at providing me with the tools I needed for the most part and the staff I worked with was great.
